Scope

Robotic urology fellowships focus on minimally invasive techniques across oncology, reconstruction and selected benign conditions, but procedural scope differs by institution and local credentialing rules.

Common formats

Some posts are dedicated robotic fellowships; others combine robotics with laparoscopy, endourology or oncologic research. Simulation-only and observational exposure should not be treated as equivalent to console experience.

Applicant considerations

Confirm procedure mix, documented console progression, simulator access, supervision, case-log expectations, registration and whether international fellows can participate clinically.

Hands-on versus observational. “Hands-on” reflects published clinical participation, not a guarantee of independent operating. “Observational” indicates no verified clinical responsibility. Registration, credentialing and supervision must always be confirmed with the host programme.
